What to Look for in a Family Photographer

Style: Do you love bright & airy, warm & earthy, or true-to-life colors? Browse portfolios to find a style that speaks to you.
Experience with Kids: If you have little ones, make sure your photographer knows how to make sessions fun and natural—not stiff and awkward.
Location Options: Do they shoot outdoors, in-home, or in a studio? Pick what fits your family’s personality best.
Personality Matters: If your photographer makes you feel comfortable, it will show in your photos. Find someone who feels like a good fit!

What to Expect During Your Session
A great family session should feel relaxed, playful, and fun—not like a school picture day gone wrong. Here’s how it flows:
Before the Session – We’ll plan the perfect location, the best time for lighting, and outfit inspo so you feel 100% ready.
During the Shoot – Expect movement, laughter, and natural moments. No stiff poses—just prompts to bring out real connection. After the Session – Your images will be edited and delivered in a beautiful online gallery within 2-4 weeks so you can download, print, and share your favorites!
One of my favorite sessions ever? A toddler who started the shoot totally not into it… but by the end, he was giggling and playing, and we captured the best natural smiles. Trust me—when you relax and have fun, the magic happens!
What Should We Wear?!
The #1 question I get before every session: What do we wear?!
Here’s the cheat sheet:
Start with Mom’s outfit – Pick something that makes you feel confident, and coordinate the rest of the family around it.
Choose a color palette, not matching outfits – Think 3-4 coordinating colors instead of everyone wearing the exact same thing. Skip logos & neon – We want the focus on your faces, not distracting prints!

How to Prepare Your Kids (Without the Stress)
Worried your kids won’t cooperate? I got you.
Hype it up – Let them know it’s going to be fun, not a “stand-still-and-smile” situation.
Snack before the session– A full belly = a happy kid.
Bring a small reward – A little post-session treat can work wonders!
And don’t stress if they want to run, jump, or explore. Some of the best shots happen when kids are just being themselves!
When Will We Get Our Photos?
After your session, I carefully edit each image to make sure the colors, lighting, and details are chef’s kiss perfect. You can expect your final gallery within 2-4 weeks after our session.
How Much Does Family Photography Cost?
Professional family photography is an investment in your memories. Pricing varies based on experience, session type, and package details.
My sessions start at $795 and include: 24-36 fully edited images, print release for small prints as well as an 8x10 framed print 🖤
